Candid Outlook: Sette, Knightsbridge

Disclaimer: As someone who loves food, I try to be completely factual, to the point, unbiased and wholeheartedly opinionated solely driven by a holistic experience. I don’t think it’s right to create an opinion of a restaurant based on one waiter/waitress neither do I think it’s fair to say that a restaurant is fantastic if you’ve had several less than satisfactory experiences.

Sette Knightsbridge

This Knightsbridge restaurant based in the Bulgari Hotel oozes luxury and refinement. Within its first few months of opening, I went during the winter months - December 2019. It blew me away as with its amazing service, tasty dishes and modern decor.
I felt reunited for my love for all things authentic and Italian.
The restaurant made me feel like I was in Milan with its sleek but very plush and comfortable interior.

Food

We started off with the complimentary bread basket which hands down - the best bread I've had in London. I'd happily go back just to eat the bread ha!

The bread basket was so good. I know I sound like a broken record but usually, I take photos before I eat the food. It was that good that I completely forgot too and I was cautious as the bread was served warm with a variety of different additional dips/sauces as pictured.

The go-to for the evening were fish dishes - only because when it comes to dining later on in the evening, I prefer to keep my dishes very light with sweet but tangy sauces. I only have one stomach so I’ve promised I’ll be good to her. The dish was well-portioned with no sides necessary. It would have been overpowering to eat a hefty side such as potatoes at 9:30pm.

The dessert was lovely! I love chocolate desserts and this was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. A must try and can be shared amongst 2 if you're not a big dessert fan!

I'm super glad I made room for this dessert!

Service
The service was immaculate - prompt, well-timed & space was given. I dislike going to restaurants and being asked every 15 minutes if everything is okay. It ruins the mood and feel of the restaurant. It distracts you from enjoying the ambiance and experience. Therefore, I try and not to make any eye contact in places which operate like this. Who doesn't like to order food and eat it in peace without interrogation!

Overall, as shown in the picture above, I was very pleased with my meal!
From the bread basket to the service and speed of the food, I was ecstatic and in love!

Sette is now one of my favourite and well-recommended Italian restaurants!

P.S How lovely is this bathroom - located upstairs within the hotel, you'll find this modern and lightly fragranced bathroom - perfect for photos.
