Memoirs of Bee: Radisson Blu, Canary Wharf

However, after
booking an overnight stay in a nice hotel, Radisson Blu, it seemed to be a perfect
short-break fix. I was feeling over-worked, over-whelmed and tired of the consistent
pattern of work and university. On arrival at the closest station to the
Radisson Blu – Canary Wharf, I was a little lost as it under a bridge and Google
maps love to take you on adventure before reaching your destination.
Once my
adventure was over (also known as a detour) and I had gotten over my blonde
moments, I was able to locate the entrance which is a beautiful automatic sliding
glass door. Completely fool-proof. I was welcomed appropriately by the lady at
the front desk the check-in was simple, and my room was ready! Hurrah! My room
was on a top floor which meant – when I went into my room I was more than
delighted to see a view which over-looked the water.
After settling
in for a few hours, I decide to check out the spa which was not the best if I’m
honest. It was moderately occupied by other weekday need-a-break individuals.
The sauna was too hot, and I think any longer than 10 minutes – I would have
been in an ambulance spending my last moments of relaxation talking to paramedics.
There was a sense orientated area which enabled you to stand under a power
shower and be sprayed down heavily after a sauna session.
Again – not really
my thing – no pool unfortunately either but the hotel is beautiful.
In summary, I went
to a nice restaurant within the Canary wharf area, got a goodnight sleep, had a
beautiful breakfast in the morning. Smooth journey home!
